The Dojo of Karate will be hosting a FREE  Open House & Child Safety Class that will be open to the general public Friday, October 25th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  Space is limited, so we ask that all NON-Students of The Dojo of Karate reserve their spot HERE, while ALL students reserve their spot at The Dojo of Karate.

This is a great opportunity for your child to gain knowledge in the importance of staying safe, being aware of their surroundings, and learning very easy and effective self-defense skills.

Plus, we will be tying in Halloween Safety Tips for all kids that attend our Open House and Child Safety class, as The Dojo of Karate wants to make sure your kids are safe this Halloween.

In addition, parents will get some great tips on how to implement some of these new learned skills to their children and family.

Why is this so important?

Kids learn best when a certain skill, technique, or piece of information is engrained in them by either repetition or simply hearing the same thing from various sources — such as a school teacher, police officer, or Karate Instructor.

This type of learning also allows children to eventually make a new learned skill second nature.

What Will My Child Learn?

When you bring your child to our FREE Open House &  Child Safety Class on Friday, October 25th, your child will learn the following:

• Potential dangers from adults and / or strangers that they may not know.
• Prevention from becoming a victim of a bully.
• How NOT to be a bully to others.
• Best practices for staying home alone.
• Escaping from certain grabs or holds from an attacker.
• And, much more!

Why is all of this essential?

Let’s face it, as a parent, we understand your concern of keeping your child safe, however, the reality is that you can’t always be with your children.  With school, activities, and playing, your child can easily be put in a dangerous situation.

How Do We Educate Our Students?

During the entire week of October 21st to 25th, 2013, Owner and Head Instructor of The Dojo of Karate, Sensei Javier Lozano, Jr. will be conducting “Self-Defense Week”.  This is where Sensei Lozano teaches his students the importance of being aware of their surroundings, how to handle strangers and / or bullies, and how to escape from certain types of grabs, chokes, holds and other dangerous position.

The purpose of Self-Defense Week is to enrich students at The Dojo of Karate with various material, other then just kicks, punches, and blocks — typical stuff taught in Karate classes.

Eventually, students at The Dojo of Karate learn how to defend themselves in almost any given situation because of how the self-defense and child safety class training is taught during every session.

Parents love it.  And, our student really enjoy it!

What Is Our Goal?

The goal for Sensei Lozano is to make sure he empowers and educates the general public on the importance of Child Safety, teach them how to be aware of their surroundings at all times, and how to react accordingly to a potential dangerous situation.  Sensei Lozano believes that by educating his students, their friends, and families in the surrounding communities of Broomfield, Westminster, Thornton and other areas in Colorado, he is can help prevent a potential attacker take advantage of a vulnerable child.

And The Main Show!

The Dojo of Karate All-Star Demonstration Team will be putting on a show as well, for kids, parents and guests to enjoy.  Our All-Star Demonstration Team is comprised of students dedicated to achieving a Black Belt in Karate.  They also have some of the highest skills in our Karate dojo, which is why they are apart of our All-Star Demonstration Team.
